Willard J L’Heureux QC, a lawyer by profession, is an experienced investor in early stage companies in Canada and Europe, particularly in the financial services sector. Previously a partner at Tory’s LLP in Toronto and a senior executive and director of numerous TSX and NYSE-listed companies, he was notably President and CEO of Trizec Corporation Ltd of Calgary, and President of Hees International Corporation of Toronto (now a part of Brookfield Asset Management Ltd). A long-time community supporter, Bill has been Chairman of Special Olympics Canada and Ontario, a director of numerous charitable organizations, and a Governor of the University of Toronto. He is currently a Director and Vice Chairman of the Royal Conservatory of Music. For his contributions to amateur sport, particularly with the intellectually disabled, he has received the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals plus numerous awards for volunteerism in Canada. He is Chairman of A’Postrophe Capital Partners Ltd, a private investment company.
